Mindfulness Practice:

My personal mindfulness practice began in 2002 when I took a college course on meditation. Beginning a formal meditation practice changed my life completely. What I discovered was that I had access to boundless quantities of acceptance, and that in each and every moment I had the opportunity to savor my existence, no matter the circumstances. This has profoundly changed how I live, love, eat, grieve, and play. I’ve attended several multi-day meditation retreats, and help guide clients in their own mindfulness practices if desired. To me, the whole point of formal meditation practice is to be more prepared and equipped to handle life’s challenges, messes, and unexpected surprises, and to savor all it has to offer. Life in our society can be so complex, hectic, and crazy-making, and mindfulness practice is a way to keep your sanity in a stressful world.
